Currently building & learning

Hi, I'm Abinav.

I build things that turn ideas into reality.

Student • Developer • Builder • AI Enthusiast • Entrepreneur

I'm a student at Riverside Secondary School in Singapore who enjoys building software, experimenting with AI, and turning real-world problems into products.

Arumugam Abinav — young, still learning, and already shipping real software.

About

More than just code.

My journey with technology has never really been about simply learning how to code. I like taking something that doesn't exist and making it real.

Whether it is a website, mobile application, business system, game, automation, or an experiment with AI, I learn best by building.

Some of my projects started as small ideas and became much bigger systems. Working on real applications has taught me that building software isn't just about writing code — it's about understanding people, workflows, problems, design, reliability and what happens when the software is actually used.

Think of an idea. Build it. Break it. Fix it. Make it better.

I'm young, but I build real things. That's the story so far — and it's still early.

Personality

Beyond development

I enjoy experimenting with AI coding tools, automation, web and mobile development, 3D/WebGL, SaaS ideas, and business ideas — usually by building something small and seeing where it goes.

Technology

I like understanding how things work — then trying to build my own version.

AI

Not just using AI tools. Figuring out how to build with them.

Entrepreneurship

I care about products people actually use, not only code that looks cool in a repo.

Design

If something is confusing, it isn't finished. UI/UX is part of building.

Games

Interactive experiments teach timing, logic, and how software feels to use.

Experimentation

Some projects start as "what if?" and turn into something real.

Learning

School by day, shipping by night. Still learning. Still building.

Apps

Published on Google Play

Android applications I've shipped. More will land here as they go live.

v2.1.3

AKK Timesheet Manager

The Android release of AKK Timesheet Manager, a production workforce platform for AKK Engineering Pte. Ltd.

Why I built it: So workers and managers can use the system on their phones — not only on desktop.

Timeline

My Journey

A progression of experiments, builds, and real products — still being written.

  1. Early experimentation

Messing around with technology, breaking things on purpose, and figuring out what was possible.

  2. Learning programming

Picking up languages and tools the way I learn best — by trying to make something exist.

  3. Building websites and applications

Moving from small experiments into real interfaces people can open and use.

  4. Exploring games

Building interactive experiences like Block Croser to learn through playable projects.

  5. Exploring AI

Experimenting with AI coding tools, APIs, and workflows — wanting to build with AI, not only consume it.

  6. Building software for AKK Engineering

Starting to turn real operational problems into digital systems for an actual organisation.

  7. From Dec 2025

    AKK Timesheet Manager

A workforce platform for attendance, leave, payroll, vehicle tracking, and more — web and Android.

  8. AKK Material Tracker

A material request and tracking workflow for requests, approvals, issuing, and returns.

  9. Publishing mobile applications

Shipping AKK Timesheet Manager to Google Play so the product could live on phones.

  10. Exploring entrepreneurship

Thinking beyond features — SaaS ideas, products, and how software becomes something people rely on.

  11. Current projects

Still a student. Still shipping. This is the beginning, not the highlight reel.

Student identity

Still learning. Still building.

Riverside Secondary School · Singapore

I balance school with software development and personal projects. Being a student while shipping real applications is part of the story — not a side note.

AI

Building with AI

AI is one of the areas I care about most. I experiment with the tools — and I want to understand how to build products with them.

I don't just want to use AI. I want to understand how to build with it.

  • AI coding assistants
  • AI-powered application ideas
  • Automation workflows
  • AI APIs
  • AI development workflows

Ambition

More than a developer.

I'm interested in entrepreneurship and building products. These are interests, experiments, and ambitions — not a list of companies I've founded.

I don't just want to write software. I want to build things people actually use.

  • SaaS
  • AI automation
  • AI products
  • Websites
  • Mobile apps
  • E-commerce
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Digital products
  • Startup ideas

Lab

Experiments

Not every idea needs to be a product. Some just need to exist so I can learn from them.

Block Croser

Experimental

A Pygame platformer experiment — built to learn by making something playable.

  • Python
  • Pygame
  • Game

Web & UI experiments

Ongoing

Small interfaces, motion studies, and layout ideas I'm testing as I learn.

  • React
  • CSS
  • Motion

AI workflow experiments

Exploring

Trying AI coding tools, APIs, and automation to understand how to build with AI — not just use it.

  • AI
  • Automation

Three.js / WebGL sketches

Exploring

Occasional 3D and visual experiments when I want to push the interface further.
